CASE STUDY: SAVING A CAREER BEFORE IT STARTS
Working to achieve a PhD takes years of hard work, dedication, and tons of data. When a graduate student at Iowa State University recently suffered a hard drive crash, all of his hard work was in serious jeopardy.
The student worked with Iowa State University’s IT support staff to get the documents off of the Windows® XP partition, but a lot of important data was still missing. Since they did not have recovery capabilities in house, the IT staff searched for a recovery provider and was lucky to come across Ontrack Data Recovery.
After a short period in the recovery lab, Ontrack returned all of the missing data the student needed for his PhD work. The IT staff noted that Ontrack not only saved the student's work but also his degree and probably the rest of his future career.
